PMHub Soon to Celebrate Second Birthday

This April, PMHUB Forums, the premier FREE resource for helping project managers attain their PMP certification, is set to celebrate its second birthday on April 20, 2007!

"Last month the PMHUB Homepage reached a new record; it exceeded a massive half a million hits, resulting in an astounding 35,000 visitors," said altruistic PMHub creator, the mysterious Elceem.

He went on to say, "For a PM community that started as a small Yahoo group (named PMPCERT at that time) this year is probably just a new rebirthing."

When asked if PMHub had changed direction since it started, Elceem replied, "Oh yes indeed! We changed our direction and media several times. We started as PMPCERT PM Yahoogroups in June 2001, but then unfortunately we had to change our name to PMHub in August 2005, because PMI (the Project Management Institute) objected to the PMPCERT name as it contained the letters "PMP". Even more unfortunately, the name PMPCERT has since been hijacked by someone else."

I asked Elceem when he had added the PMHub Webpage front end to the forum. "We setup the PMPCERT Forum in April 2005 and launched PMHUB webpage in June 2005. This was a very successful decision.

Last February we started moving to Googlegroups and left Yahoogroups (which still eists as just a shell - a shrine to the memory of the old days, and also to attract new members, who may still are unaware of the move."

Thank you Elceem

"Thank you to all the great project managers and others out there for your wonderful contributions, for being active members and for your willingness to help others. Thank you to all those who have been helped to earn their PMP or CAPM certification through PMHub, and in return have posted their invaluable 'lessons learned' and helped the community in other ways. And thank you too, to our columnists and those who have contributed to the PMHub."
